Motorola Armani Phone In The Works
September 30, 2008
![]()
Looks like Samsung isn’t the only handset manufacturer to have teamed up with fashion house Armani when it comes to cell phones, as we now have Motorola bedding Emporio Armani as well. No view on what the Motorola Armani phone will have on offer, but according to the leaked images you see here, it doesn’t look as though it will amount to much - which will be pretty disappointing for Motorola since a poor design would mean Motorola will continue to remain in the doldrums for quite some moment to come. Hopefully their bet on Android will pay off in the towering run.

FCC Passes Motorola VU30 Phone
September 30, 2008
![]()
The FCC has taken a look at Motorola’s VU30 clamshell handset and nodded its head in approval, which means the market ought to see a new clamshell handset with the following pretty soon :-
2 megapixel camera
EV-DO connectivity
Stereo Bluetooth support
While it won’t turn heads with its design, it looks set to be a pretty functional mid-range phone - chances are average Joes will use that as a portable modem most of the day, with some spot of audio playback in amoung business trips.

Gigabyte M912 Ships In Europe
September 30, 2008
![]()
Folks living in Europe will be able to get their hands on the Gigabyte M912 pretty soon, although those of us living in the US are still left out. Of course, you can circumvent that situation by ordering via importer Dynamism, but that would mean incurring additional charges - and that’s something not many citizens are willing to come up with these days considering the credit crunch we’re experiencing these days. Just to refresh your memory, the Gigabyte M912 comes with a swiveling display, and will feature an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor and a 8.9″ display.

Motorola Q11 Sent To FCC
September 30, 2008
![]()
Motorola has yet another Q phone in the works, that duration it is the Q11 that will be paying a visit to the eagle-eyed folks at the FCC. Unfortunately, there is one detail on the Q11 which isn’t as pretty as we’d like it to be - it apparently lacks 3G connectivity despite packing in the following :-
Quad-band EDGE
Stereo Bluetooth connectivity
Wi-Fi support
miniSD memory card slot
3 megapixel camera
2.5mm headphone jack
Aw, Motorola, why did you need to go and include the 2.5mm headphone jack? Can’t you stick with something normal?
