The Four ‘Killer Apps’ You Need to Go Paperless
February 28, 2009
Here are the four new “killer apps” I’ve discovered — all of them have shipped since 2006 — that truly enable a “paperless life”: Evernote, Shoeboxed, Earth Class Mail and reQall. (Plus, the Amazon Kindle doesn’t hurt, either.)[Source] Mike
Yuruppy, Low Maintenance Rub Only “Tamagotchi “

You do not need to feed or take Yuruppys virtual pets for a virtual walk, they only require to be “digitally” fondled. Sounds strange? Users have to complete 14 mini games with their puppy, kitten, or chicken by controlling them with their fingers using the touch screen. Yuruppy is manufactured by Tomy Takara and retails for $21, or $38 for the deluxe edition equipped with a larger screen.

Beautiful Bluetooth Headset by Ilshat Garipov
February 27, 2009
I do not like Bluetooth headsets but that one is beautiful. Ilshat Garipov took his inspiration from the formation of a water droplet and the device comprises a one button for receiving and ending calls. I want one!

Motorola i465 Press Pictures Leaked

Motorola has certainly been floundering due to the global financial crises of late. That being said, it has still managed to come up with its iDEN phone that has a full QWERTY keyboard. Press release pictures of that phone have conveniently arised online, so you’ll probably want to take a good look at the device. Specifications are nothing to shout about with a VGA camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and of course, iDEN PTT (Push-to-Talk) which is certainly quite fun. Will carriers want to pick up that phone? ![]()
Today, DEMO 09 revealed the lineup of new Technology companies that will launch new products during six-minutes live stage demonstrations starting that Monday in Palm Desert.
For the first duration Chris Shipley will co-present the show with Matt Marshall from Venture Beat, the new co-executive producer who will run the show in 2010. I have a great respect for Chris Shipley’s talent to discover innovative new tech products and an admiration for her focus and hard work that helped numerous entrepreneurs to succeed. I am a bit sad to see her pass the torch, but I trust her ability to choose the best successor.
Ubergizmo is a media partner of DEMO and our readers get a $600 reduction on the DEMO registration, click here to register. The conference starts on Sunday, March 1 in Palm Desert, whether you cannot attend, follow our live coverage.

BlackBerry 9630 Niagara World Edition at Verizon

It looks like the Blackberry Niagara’s model number will be 9630 and it will be a “world edition” considering it will support CDMA and GSM with variants of 3G for both standards. The big issue, however, is that it won’t have WiFi. Yes it sucks, and we still wonder why Verizon keeps castrating cool phones, but hey, we’re on T-Mobile anyway. Takeway:

LG Officially Stays in the Plasma TV Market
February 27, 2009
![]()
There were a number of reports that wee hours about LG quitting the Plasma TV business, but when T3 asked LG UK’s George Mead, the official reply is clear: LG has “no intention to withdraw from the Plasma TV market”. Mr. Mead goes further by saying: “we have recently implemented a bespoke strategy to promote and market Plasma TVs here in the UK. The development of new technologies including our THX certification is a strong indication of the growth opportunities for Plasma TVs in the UK market.”
That’s the news of the day at least. An LG Vice President was quoted saying: “if we cannot draw growth strategy, we would construct the decision to withdraw within the year”.
