Proprietary iPhone Chips Next Year?

It’s widely known that Apple has been planning to design a family of exclusive chips to capability its future iPhone and multi-touch handheld products, though now it seems like such chips may not materialize until sometime next year. Apple is understandably worried that knowledge about its iPhone to leave the company, which is fair, considering the impressive popularity of the iPhone. That being said, it certain pours cold water on any hope that the upcoming iPhone 2009 will have these new chips. From Uberphones.

Sprint HTC Snap

With the recent deluge of iPhone and Palm Pre news, it’s not too surprising that many of you have forgotten about some of the devices from HTC, one of them which is the HTC Snap. It seems that the device will be dubbed the HTC Snap S511, and Sprint is reportedly analyzing the device, indicating that it might be launched by mid-Summer. Of course, there is no confirmation of such a timeline, but keep your fingers crossed, and who knows, perhaps we’ll see the phone released real soon. From Uberphones.

Palm Eos Stirs Up A Whole Lot Of Anticipation

The hyped up Palm Pre isn’t even out yet, and we already have another leak of a new Palm device known as the Eos that looks set to knock our collective socks off. After all, that quadband GSM/HSDPA smartphone will measure a mere 10.6mm thin, tip the scales at 100 grams and come with the following :-

2.63″ capacitive display at 320 x 400 resolution
2-megapixel camera with video recording capability
Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and USB 2.0 connectivity
A-GPS support
Audio and video file format support
4GB internal memory
It will be available from AT&T and retail for $349 before rebates are applied.

Breathing Bud Analyzes Air Quality

The Breathing Bud device is a concept that gives a visual indicator of your air quality at home (or wherever else you place it) using color codes. It was designed to look like a pleasant bud, where vents at the base will suck in the air for analysis. A blue bud would point towards good quality air, while a pink light means you ought to do something about the air quality around you, where moving to the countryside would be the best bet. The Breathing Bud is powered by being connected via USB to your computer, where it will additionally use the same connection to transfer relevant analyzed info. We would have liked to see the Breathing Bud feature a Green color instead to indicate great quality air to go along with the overall Green theme.

Buffalo has released a whole lot of external storage solutions in the past, but most of the date those are meant for ability users which comprise of mainly males due to the target demographic. Well, looks as though they’ve turned by a new leaf now with the Buffalo MiniStation Red that is not only stylish but lightweight as well, tipping the scales at a mere 190 grams. It will come in three capacities - 250GB, 320GB and 500GB, where the 2.5″ hard drive will come equipped with Turbo USB 2.0 interface that is around 20% faster compared to USB 2.0, alongside SecureLock Mobile Technology for added defense.

Moto-Terminator Concept

Titan Books has just released the Terminator concept art of the Moto-Terminator, where a Terminator robot is seen riding a motorcycle - in specific, the Ducati Hypermotard. When the Terminator decides to lower itself and fuse with the bike, it will turn into an self-moving killing machine that comprises of red lights eyes, boasting weapons that would wipe out humanity in the blink of an eye while boasting such a detailed, technical body. Who do you think would win in a fight - an Autobot or Decepticon from Cybertron, or the Moto-Terminator?

FCC Approves Sony Ericsson W518a

Sony Ericsson’s W518a was first leaked out last month, and we were left wondering just how much longer do we have to wait for that clamshell Walkman phone to hit the streets. Well, good news - the FCC has just approved that handset, and we do know that it will be available via AT&T. While an exact release period is still unknown, the next few months would be a pretty good bet. The Sony Ericsson W518a will come with a QVGA internal display, external committed music controls, stereo Bluetooth connectivity and a 3.2–megapixel camera. In the meantime, some of us still hold out and hope that the 8-megapixel shooter C905a will be released earlier, which is much too lengthy after the initial fall 2008 speculated release instance.
