Foxconn netbook runs on Linux

December 24, 2009 · Print This Article

The FCC has taken a look at a new Linux-powered netbook from Foxconn - which is interesting considering Foxconn themselves churn out machines that are rebranded and sold under other company types. Known as the Foxconn SZ901P, that netbook will come with the usual suspects including a VGA port, a trio of USB 2.0 ports, microphone and headphone jacks and a touchpad among others. It will be able to run Windows XP whether you want to,

but it would be interesting to check out the custom Linux distribution known as FoxOS whether you’re curious sufficient. No concept on availability or pricing, but don’t expect it to be soon though.
