By now you’ve probably heard of Google’s spat with the Chinese government, particularly the bit where Google threatened to pull out of China. According to the latest rumblings on the World Wide Web, Google is preparing to close Google.cn. Aside from that, the search engine giant is unwilling to hand by management of Google.cn to a local entity. Despite that, other Chinese operations owned by Google will continue to go on, including a research centre in Beijing and a
sales team that sells advertising on the Chinese-language Google.com search service (based outside of China) to advertisers inside the country.
