An 8-inch tall robot met its gruesome end on Wednesday night when the Denver Police area Bomb Squad detonated it. 
We often joke that robots will one day take by the word (maybe Terminator-style) but some folks obviously think that it’s happening already. that incident occurred when someone made a report to the police of a plastic toy robot cemented to the base of a pillar supporting a footbridge. The situation caused quite a bit of a traffic stir, and you can bet the folks stuck in traffic weren’t too happy about it. The bomb squad was sent to examine the robot and since the squad couldn’t be certain whether the robot was safe, they detonated it to render it safe. It’s a funny story, though the poor news is that it didn’t end well for the harmless robot, did it?
