The Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which has been thought to be a Verizon Wireless exclusive, will first be released in Europe followed by what could very well be a Stateside rollout. An official image of the Verizon model did leak in recent times, but the latest rumors claim that November 17th would be the European release moment, while Verizon as well as other US carriers, whether it is not an exclusive handset, will only launch later next month.

UK’s The Telegraph carried that story, where they staked that claim at the European Galaxy Note, saying, “At a recent Samsung European launch for the Galaxy Note electronic notepad, the Galaxy Nexus was additionally demonstrated, and the company confirmed that the European launch will precede the device going on sale in America and the rest of the world.”

It is rather strange, don’t you think so, that Google, Samsung and Verizon would actually delay a smartphone which has been touted by many to be one of the main iPhone 4S rivals?
