It was only a couple of months ago that Barnes & Noble released their latest Nook tablet, but whether a recent report in the New York Times is right on the money, it seems that the company may have a new Nook device up their sleeves in moment for a spring release. However some have speculated that that device could just be an update/follow-up to the Nook Simple Touch which does seem rather likely. that would assemble the release of the rumored device highly irregular. that rumored fifth Nook device was supposedly created in order to compete against Amazon’s Kindle Fire Android tablet which has been priced at a very competitive $199.

It is not clear as to what sort of device that new Nook will be, and based on previous release schedules, Barnes & Noble has typically used the fall season to release their new Nook devices, particularly since it usually falls right in the middle of the holiday buying season. Either way we propose you take that piece of news/rumor with a grain of salt for now until more data can be gathered in order to reach at a more informed conclusion.
