17 Year Old Robin Hood Launched Phones into Prison in Brazil
September 3, 2010
It appears that the days of smuggling files in cakes into a prison have given way to the smuggling of mobile phones, and one specific gang of criminals had a 17 year old play Robin Hood complete with bow and arrows.According to an essay by on Gizmodo by Kyle VanHemert, and by way of an commentary by on the AP, a Brazilian gang paid a local teen to use a bow launch mobile phones fixed to the end of arrows by the prison walls.Apparently the authorities have said they caught the offender when he fired an arrow with a mobile phone attached by the wall and struck an officer on the back. The struck officer wasn’t seriously injured as the mobile device fixed to the arrow tip cushioned the blow. The young would-be Robin Hood managed to launch four mobile phones into the prison before being caught, whether said mobile phones were recovered by the authorities isn’t clear.

September 3, 2010
Exclusivity by Apple’s gear is starting to fall by the wayside, many who had exclusivity by Apple’s iPhone 4 have now seen that exclusivity end particularly in Europe; however one last carrier, T-Mobile Germany still has exclusivity by the iPhone 4, but that may soon change.According to an write-up by on Cult of Mac by John Brownlee, and by way of an commentary by on the Wall Street Journal, Deutsche Telekom is gearing up for the end of iPhone 4 exclusivity by the holiday season. So with iPhone 4 exclusivity coming to a final end in Europe isn’t it about moment the same happened in the US? Surely it’s day for Apple to end AT&T’s grip by the iPhone and open up availability of the iPhone 4.Apple must know that citizens really want to be able to get an iPhone without having to go with the Big Blue, and there are options for doing so, Apple could give the iPhone 4 to T-Mobile USA, or they could even do what most want them to do and that’s push out the Verizon iPhone. So, wha…

Droid X Battery Pull Tab Confusion Cleared Up
September 3, 2010
Apparently there has been a little confusion by the Droid X battery pull tab, mainly whether the user should actually yank the pull tab off, which plus apparently led to rumours that in doing so the user would void the Droid X warranty.Well according to an exposition by on Droid-life by Kellex, and by way of Android Central, that little issue has now been cleared up by Motorola by new Droid X smartphones now sporting a newly designed battery pull tab which shows the user not to remove or cut.Seems a little foolish to me as obviously the pull tab is there to ease the removal of the battery and not to be pulled right off, why on earth would Motorola put a tab that needs to be removed for no reason? They didn’t and it doesn’t.So all you Droid X users out there that may have been somewhat puzzled, just use the tab to extract the battery and don’t pull it all the way off.
