While the Palm Pixi is pretty cheap considering it is one of the more basic smartphones around, that doesn’t give you the license to abuse it any way you want to, right? OtterBox has released the Impact and Commuter series cases for the said smartphone, retailing for $19.95 and $34.95, respectively. As with any other self-respecting OtterBox, both Impact and Commuter series cases will offer protection against shocks and drops which would normally be a death blow to your Palm Pixi. The Impact series case comes with a silicone skin that offers all round protection while providing easy access to all buttons and phone features. As for the Commuter series, it has 3 layers of protection which will definitely add to the bulk (and peace of mind).

Aaron Alai has come up with the Electronic Business Card which will definitely rock your world whether you happen to be a businessperson. After all, that different business card works on a tiny and imperceivable amount of current which flows from the battery into one’s fingers, routed to the transistor upon a touch. When that current enters the transistor, it will turn the latter more conductive which in turn opens the floodgates for a greater number of electrons to flow through the transistor, resulting in the glowing light. Talk about making an impact among your clients!

Lenovo has unveiled its latest L2461x Full HD Multitouch Monitor which comes with a pretty impressive 23.6″ display size at 1,920 × 1,080 resolution alongside capacitive multitouch capability. Not only that, it already has a built-in 2-megapixel camera which would work great for capturing stills of funny faces as well as carrying out a decent webcam conversation. Apart from that, you will additionally benefit from a 4-port USB 2.0 hub and a white LED backlit panel. Being Energy Star 5.0 certified allows you to use it far more often than you would without experiencing a spike in your monthly capability bill. Expect to pick up that puppy for around $646.

Nokia has a type new project known as Design by Community, where cellphone users are more than welcome to help the Finnish telecommunications giant create a “smartphone concept device of the future.” Basically, you are free to choose how a Nokia smartphone of the future would look like, ranging from display size to the operating system, construction materials, connectivity options, camera features and overall size and shape. Depending on the collective design choices, the Nokia Design team will come up with a 3D render of the final smartphone come that May. Hmmm, have they run out of ideas that they will need to get a democratic consensus of what goes into the next Nokia phone?

Pretty neat, eh? Not that that is a new view, but at least you get constantly refreshed images thanks to the increased megapixel count of today’s contemporary handsets. Other features include a 7″ display at 800 × 480 resolution and 1GB of internal memory.

One look at that mod and you shouldn’t need much more knowledge on why you should mod your Dreamcast in that way – it just looks cool. A modder seems to have done a rather good job by turning Sega’s short-lived Dreamcast console into the Millennium Falcon. Surprisingly, the Dreamcast seems to fit the mold rather well, which kind of makes you wonder whether the Dreamcast and Millennium Falcon were meant for each other. Video showcasing that mod is available after the jump.

Robot vacuum cleaners are pretty common these days, and while they won’t invoke any oohs or aahs from the general public, they are still able to pique your interest each date you have a look at it. The G182 Robot Vacuum is pretty interesting since it comes with a remote controlled pan and tilt IR-equipped webcam, allowing you to check out its activity whenever you are not at home physically. There is one drawback to that though - it won’t be able to sneak under furniture to keep those areas clean while destroying colonies of dust bunnies. $500 is the asking price for the G182 Robot Vacuum.
